Make space for a familiar voice
Online Turkish lessons in the UK
Turkish can be part of the small things you share: a meal, a story or a call home. Online lessons offer another place for children ages 4–17 to use it with a teacher they get to know.
Keep the week manageable
School pick-up, clubs and bedtime all shape a family’s schedule. Start by looking for an available lesson time that leaves your child enough space to arrive calmly.
Let both languages belong
Your child may tell a story more easily in English and recognise familiar words in Turkish. You can share these observations without asking them to choose one language or perform for the family.
Carry one idea home
Choose a small conversation to return to after a lesson, such as describing a picture or planning a meal. Keep it brief and leave room for the child to change the subject or ask a question.
Questions from families abroad
Will a lesson fit around school?
You can review available teacher times when planning. Choose from the times actually shown, and check the local time again after clock changes.
Does my child need to speak Turkish already?
No. Tell us what they hear, understand or use at home; that gives the teacher a useful starting point.
Do we have to speak to a coordinator first?
No. You can choose a teacher and start with the gift intro lesson; coordinator support is there if you want it.
Let’s talk!
Take the first step for your child
Discuss your questions about lessons or teacher choice with our education coordinator, or go straight to an intro lesson.
