Room to talk together

Group lessons

In a group lesson, Turkish becomes a way for siblings to communicate with the teacher and with each other. Children from the same family learn in the same lesson with the same teacher.

What makes a group a useful fit?

Siblings need to be able to take part in shared activities and meet at the same lesson time. Our education team can help you check whether a group lesson suits your children.

Tasks that make room for listening to each other

A sample group task might invite each child to bring a different piece of information or an idea. Teacher guidance can support asking questions, taking turns and discussing a shared choice.

  • Take turns continuing a picture story
  • Ask a sibling a question with two choices
  • Compare suggestions for a shared activity

Participation and the basis of the fee

A group lesson is for 2 siblings. If only one child remains, the lesson is treated as one-to-one and the relevant one-to-one pricing applies.

Questions about this lesson format

Who can join a group lesson?

Children from the same family. Group lessons bring 2 siblings together; siblings learn in the same lesson with the same teacher.

What if the siblings differ in age or Turkish?

Share this with our education team. Being siblings is not enough on its own; age, Turkish use and readiness for shared activities still need consideration.

Might it suit a child who is hesitant to speak?

Share that observation with the teacher. You can consider one-to-one and group options in relation to how your child participates and the support they may need.
