Another language in your family’s story
Online Turkish lessons in Canada
Your child’s week may include English, French, Turkish or other family languages. Their starting point is personal: what they enjoy, what they understand and what they want to share all matter.
Share the whole language picture
Tell the teacher which languages your child hears and chooses in different settings. There is no need to reduce that experience to one main language before a first Turkish lesson.
Build around a shared interest
A book, a winter activity or an invention your child imagines can give conversation a direction. Let the child contribute ideas as well as answers, so Turkish has something worth being used for.
Plan for where you are
Canada includes several time zones, so a time shared by another family may not be yours. Check the available teacher times against your own location before confirming, and revisit the details when you travel.
Questions from families abroad
Must we speak Turkish every day to join?
No. Describe your current routine honestly. The intro lesson helps the teacher understand how your child participates and where to begin.
Can family visits become lesson topics?
You can share your child’s interests with the teacher. Preparing a greeting or a short story for a relative can be a useful conversation example.
What is the first step?
Explore the teachers and the gift intro lesson. Coordinator guidance is optional if you would like to talk through your questions first.
