Think it through for your child
Choose a Turkish teacher
Consider your child’s needs and suitable times alongside the information in a teacher’s introduction. You can make your own choice and ask our education coordinator for support with questions.
What can you look for on a profile?
The listed age groups and the teacher’s introduction provide a useful start. Rather than assuming information that is not given, ask our education team and explain why it matters for your child.
- The age groups they work with
- Profile information about their teaching approach
- Current times that may fit your family
Make your question specific
Instead of only saying “improve speaking,” share an everyday example, such as following family conversation but giving short answers. Discuss reading, writing or starting Turkish for the first time separately.
What can you notice in an intro lesson?
Notice how your child participates, what support helps them respond and how the lesson is approached. Sharing questions afterwards can help your family consider continuing with more concrete information.
Questions on your mind
Does the coordinator have to choose the teacher?
No. You can review profiles and choose a teacher. If you are unsure, our education coordinator can help with teacher choice and the process.
What if my child’s age is not listed?
Check suitability with our education team. For ages 16–17 in particular, do not assume that the overall service age range applies to every teacher’s profile.
What if I cannot find a suitable time?
You can review other teachers’ available times or share your timing preferences with our education team. Check suitability before assuming a particular time has been reserved.
