A new conversation on paper
An activity sheet can be more than a set of blanks to fill. Pointing to words, drawing a picture or turning them into a short story can all make room for using Turkish.
Open the printable activity and begin by choosing a word. Let your child point out familiar words and ask about one that interests them; there is no need to finish the whole sheet at once.
Younger children can point to a picture, respond to a spoken word or join in through drawing. More experienced children might add a sentence, question or explanation to use the same sheet differently.
Check paper size and margins in your browser’s print preview. When returning to the activity, make room for a new explanation rather than expecting drawings or answers to match the first attempt.
Look at the picture and choose the Turkish word. Say it aloud together, then try it in a sentence of your own.
kitap — Bu benim kitabım.
güneş — Bugün güneş var.
saat — Saat kaç?
kalp — Bir kalp çizelim.
dünya — Dünya bizim evimiz.
hediye — Bu hediye senin için.
Yes. Discuss the words on screen or draw your own examples on plain paper. The sheet provides a starting point for working together.
No. Choosing a picture, making a short sentence and telling a story are different ways to participate. Choose a task around age and experience with Turkish.
The sheet is a tool for brief family practice. Interaction with a teacher allows questions, responses and individual needs to be explored together.
